Bye, Bye Mainstream Pattern: PAUL PALUD jumps out of the mold. Sophisticated arrangements meet lyrics in German, with melodies that get under your skin. The four-piece band loves to break into improvisation. From grand electric guitar solos to delicate moments with electric bass and saxophone: PAUL PALUD is dynamic! Starting as a solo project, the one-man band evolved from virtuosic chanson to a flexible ensemble with a colorful mix of jazz, rock, pop, you name it... fixed genres are not the forte of this quartet. However, not everything needs to be virtuosic with lots of movement; simplicity and consistency can also touch the heart, in their opinion! Since December 2023, PAUL PALUD has been touring as a band on stages across Switzerland. As the collective structure is still quite fresh, occasionally you'll find frontman Paul Marschke performing solo at events. Thanks to winning bandXost, the band has been catapulted to major festivals like Open Air St.Gallen, Lumnezia, Musikfestwochen Winterthur, and many more, gaining plenty of experience. Two of the band members also played with LA GUSTAV in 2024, bringing a summer full of concerts. With their debut album, set for release in May 2025, they aim to strengthen their band structure and bring their music to more stages. PAUL PALUD hovers somewhere between earworms, melancholic whirlwinds, and a bunch of musical jokes that get you dancing.
Juri Rytz, Yara Prina, Petar Papukciev, and Paul Marschke: that's PAUL PALUD.
