A soulful voice, playful melodies and a versatile mix of musical styles are some of the reasons that make Peter King's music interesting and positive to listen to.
Peter King is a singer/songwriter originally from Tennessee, who moved to Switzerland with his parents when he was younger. He grew up in Ticino and then moved to Lausanne about eight years ago.
The last few years, during and after his university studies, he's been developing his personal music project, writing songs and exploring different musical styles (soul, pop, folk, jazz). He has gained experience by improvising regularly at jam sessions and has done many solo and duo performances, including marriages and other private events.
Aside from his solo project, he is also the lead singer and a songwriter of the Lausanne-based group called "Playground", which won the Caprices New Talent contest in 2012 and has been playing concerts regularly in the Swiss French region.
Last year he had the opportunity to co-write and sing on the single of Yvan Peacemaker's latest album, which has been on all the main Swiss radios.
This year he's decided to finally launch his personal project in the form of an acoustic trio (voice/guitar, percussion and bass) and is preparing to do concerts around Switzerland.
