Rachel Carmen is a Swiss singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist from the idyllic village of Muotathal.
Even as a child, she knew that music was her home. She quickly picked up a microphone, keyboard, and guitar – and began writing her own songs.
In recent years, Rachel has been on the move – between mountains, stages, and the sound of the sea. For a time, she lived on a campsite, where new songs were born amidst power cables, campfires, and silence. These experiences continue to shape her authentic sound and deep connection to the earth.
Her stages? From the snow-covered peaks of Switzerland to the sunlit beaches of Spain, Rachel has captured the hearts of her audiences as a singer and bar pianist.
After her success at the Prix Walo Sprungbrett in 2014, her musical journey gained momentum. Radio performances, a duet with Piero Esteriore and the Esteriore Brothers on Donnschtig-Jass, an appearance at the KKL Lucerne, and a spontaneous jam session with Büne Huber of Patent Ochsner count among her highlights.
In 2019, she spent several months in Los Angeles to find new creative inspiration and refine her artistic style. Today, she once again writes mainly in English — songs that blend depth, longing, and light. Her music moves between pop, rock, and soul — carried by a voice that tells stories that are real.
Independent, authentic, and a musician at heart — Rachel Carmen is ready to release new songs. Her upcoming music marks a return to her roots: English lyrics, warm harmonies, and emotions that linger.
