Biography

Rolf Saxer startet touring as an electronic live act in summer 2015. With hardware sampler, analog synthesizer and drum computer being his weapons of choice he presents a broad variety of sample driven house with references to techno, dub, soul and traditional music from distant areas. Or as it is characterized by Hardau Records: „House music with a twist for the open minded dancefloor“.
Laid back percussion grooves blend with reverb-infused sitar-melodies. Polyrhythms with vocal lines out of the global echo chamber. All combined with analog drum machines and synths from a selected machinery.

Most of Rolf Saxers material is unplublished and developed further and further out of the live situation. Live sets in at the infamous Lethargy Festival, at Hive Club, Kauz and at parties hosted by Zurichs leading independent station GDS.FM as well ad the release of his Debut-EP „Dust/Dust-Remixes“ gained him more and more attention in the local scene. In Juli 2016 he played his first shows in Germany and created lots of dreamy euphoria on the dancefloor e.g. at the Feel Festival on the „Endlos“-Stage between Erobique and Schlepp Geist. 2017 he played in France and at Off The Radar in northern Germany (referred to as "The new Fusion Festival" by insiders and music lovers). In the same year he contributed "Sunset after Dark" to the Off The Radar Compilation. After several dj sets the years before, he played live at the notorious Golden Pudel Club in march 2018 and released the "Ritual / Ritual Remixes"-EP with Simon Kwe soon after.
