Biography

Sarah Namour was born on July 7th 1993 in the Yvelines suburb of Paris. In 2003 her family moved to Zurich (Switzerland) and she has lived in Vaud Canton since 2005.
She is the daughter of deceased (2001) progressive rock drummer Christian Namour and was interested from a very early age in music and various other art-forms such as dance, singing and drawing. She began first with piano lessons, then drums and ultimately discovered the guitar. A short course at the Nyon Conservatory enabled her to start composing her own songs.
In May 2010 she took part in the “La Nuit des Poètes” event for young musicians held at the “Usine à Gaz” in Nyon, her first ever concert and this was quickly followed by a gig in the “Quai 23” bar during the “Fête de la musique”.
After recording several songs at home (originals and covers) she created a 4-track studio demo of her own compositions.
