Scapegoats retraces the almost common story of lads who decided in 2000 to play a metal band. The four members progressed quickly and are today a solid metal band, renowned for their intense gigs.
But from the bass player, the band is still constituted by the same persons. In the end, “Junior” –“Bug from Hell” (singer)’s brother– joined the band in 2002. Together, they made a fresh start and recorded in August 2003 a first demo including nine explosive tracks, in order to get known, but also to get to know the musical scene (metal fans, gigs venues, festivals, etc).
At that time, the band met the bosses of Rockseed Records record company, who happened to pop into their rehearsal room. Scapegoats’ out-bursting energy and dynamism just impressed them ! This meeting signs the second turning point of their career. From now on, they benefit from a serious and professional look, accompaniment and support on a long time basis.
For a year and a half, the band performed live, work neatly on their tracks. Finally, in August 2005, they entered the Ekeko Studio to record their first 6 tracks EP. Thanks to this intense work, their compositions and style evolved massively.
After the first seconds of « Madness of Mind », you’ll know what it’s all about: powerful sound, no concession, a kind of condensed rough energy and juvenile rage. This album – released under rockseed label, part of watermelon Entertainment- has been mixed and masterized in Frankfurt (Germany) by Uwe Lulis (Rebellion, Oratory, Wizard, etc.)
To sum it up, “Madness of Mind” will create a buzz! And even more than that, thanks to the video clip of the track “panic” which marvellously reflects the general atmosphere of the CD, as well as the tremendous energy deployed by the band on stage.
The quartet combines different styles of metal : neo-metal, black metal and even hardcore metal. That’s precisely the characteristic of their personal and extreme sound. The voice is, from time to time, roaring and deafening and sometimes calm and melancholic. The guitar and the bass create a heavy melodic atmosphere, full of strength and fire. The whole thing is supported by a powerful, technical and tribal rhythmic!
The “Scapegoats” storm essentially feed themselves on the passion that the band members have for their music, which became their life style! No doubt the storm will turn into a hurricane…..to be continued.
