SCHÄUMEN is a new project by longtime collaborators and DIY-musicians Tobias Rüetschi (aka tober) and Louis Keller.
SCHÄUMEN was born out of a day-long improvised recording session with no-input mixing board and drums, recorded directly onto 4-track tape. The upcoming album might be a celebration of the unexpected. A rough-around-the-edges work playing with forced surprises and loss of control, researching into black boxes and unlikely collaboration. Or maybe it’s just all about connections, an invisible net that catches us when everything else fails.
Each song features a different artist, invited to shape rough and unwieldy material into something new. Here you go, go for it! The resulting songs move through love, isolation, alchemy, confusion and introspection, creating a noisy rhizome of ideas.
