Born in Kingston Jamaica, Simone Henry (SHADE) tapped into her family tradition when she decided to pursue her lifelong dream as a Singer. At seventeen years old She began modeling, her new found modeling career landed here a contract with Pulse International Model Agency.
In 1998 Shade recorded her first song "Big Ninja Bike" and moved on to recording at Tuff Gong Studio located in Kingston.
In 2000 Shade landed a role as "Digita", the blue-haired beauty that plays a girl from the future that brought new technology via Cable and Wireless Mobile, Shade became a household name & icon. She became one of Jamaica’s top models, appearing in Local & International TV shows, Fashion Shows, Talent shows, news papers, magazines, Billboards etc throughout the US and the Caribbean.
2001 her entry in the Miss Jamaica Fashion Model had her placed in the top three positions that landed her modeling assignments in New York, South Florida, England, Milan & the Caribbean.
2000 and 2001 the Peer Awards foundation awarded her with 11 awards for her modeling and acting work in Cable & Wireless "Digita" campaign that was spared headed by Patrick Waldemar from Waterworks advertising agency.
In 2003, Shade's continued to performance live in the US and the Caribbean, venturing out into voice over’s and background acting roles in TV Commercials etc.
In 2004 - 2005 she landed back groundwork in the well-known movie "Bad Boys"" with Will Smith ad Martine Lawrence and "Fast and the furious" staring Vin Diesel.
In 2006 Shade teamed up with some of the world's greatest Reggae Engineers and Producer's who have worked with artist such as Cheer, Whitney Houston, and Bob Marley.
In 2007 Shade release her hit single "Moving High and moved on the collaborating with Junior Reid on her sing "Hot Boys" , as well as Calton Coffie, Grammy Winner and former lead single of Inner Circle.
2008 Shade began the preparation of her album release tour and continued performing internationally across the USA. Her first leg of promotion for her album began in Columbia n in 2008.
2009 now focus on releasing here album she started campaigning and touring ASIA, where she landed modeling contracts and became the face of LLBEANS new Tote Bag Line. Shade has been featured in multiple magazines across Asia and in the well knows Mono Magazine which circulates in over 200, 000,00 copies per year.
In 2010 Shade’s self title album "Life in the Shade" was released in Asia and worldwide, and can be found on the shelves of most major distributor outlets in Japan such as, Tsutaya, Tower Records, HMV, etc.
In 2011 Shade launched her album release tour. For the tour Shade invited a few of her musician friends from Jamaica to tour Asia. Performing on Military Bases, local venues such as Clubs, and Convention Halls.
Recently Shade’s single “Coming Back” was released on the JSP Production label, the song was in part mixed at Mixing Lab by Steven Stanley who is one of Jamaica's biggest Engineers. Instrumental performed by Calton Coffie former lead singer of Inner Circle.
