Biography
In 2009, Joel Binggeli decided to found the thrash metal band Devilscrow. In this project he was supported by Umiker Pascal who at this time was playing for Strangulated. But the project Devilscrow failed completely because of strongly differring opinions as well as musical skills of the different band members. After many debates and several new attempts, Joel and Pascal finally decided to quit the band in order to pursue their common ideas. Hereupon, Pascal left the band Strangulated, and shortly after, it was Joel and Pascal on their own in the band room. Out of this experience, they developed the basic structure of the sound of „Storm of Bermuda“ - a musical expression of the recent conflicts and disputes in the band. With only drums and a guitar left, concerts nor showcases weren‘t really an option. So the band was desperately looking out for a second guitarist - yet not just any random guitar player. Therefore Pascal got in touch with Steve Decorvet, the guitarist for Dirty Diana. Immediately, Steve showed up, and after a few riffs it was as clear: Hell yeah! Upon that, Steve decided to leave Dirty Diana in order to put all his energy and ideas into Devilscrow. Soon after that, the three guys decided to get rid of the old band‘s name, and they launched a restart with their new name: „Shadowsfear“. Now, the three guys started their common band rehearsals, and they began to realize their common ideas. Shortly after, they completed their first song „Storm of Bermuda“, and it didn‘t last long before many friends and fellows came to their band room in Düdingen in order to hear the thrash metal band perform their first song. The feedback was uplifting, and Shadowsfear instantly knew that they needed to continue. Shortly after, the bass guitarist Orlando Moffa joined the band, and now he supports them with his powerful sound and a wide musical knowledge.
