Pluto has officially ceased to be a planet in 2006. In the summer of 2018, singer and guitarist Jeremia Schweizer as well as sound inventor and bassist Nicola Bögli from Thun set about breathing new life into the forgotten celestial body – with their music project Sharing Pluto. The sounds sometimes sound familiar and catchy with a lot of pop appeal, sometimes spherical rock, crazy and above all unique.
Started as a duo, producer and guitarist Michael Ingold as well as drummer Marc Egloff are now part of the band. They are supplemented during live performances by singer Naomi Schweizer and percussionist Jan Locher.
In April 2022 Sharing Pluto released their debut concept album “Sharing Pluto”. It is about a planet that was created in the near future as the perfect home for mankind. The recordings were made in winter/spring 2019/2020 at the InFlux Studio in Bern. The video clip for the first single "Never gonna be like them" has already been clicked over 90,000 times on YouTube. In 2022, the band performed at Café Mokka and at the Thunfest, among others. It was also nominated by a jury as Swiss Live Talent in the category "Pop, Indie, Folk and Songwriting".
From summer 2022 Sharing Pluto worked on new material. The result was 9 songs that will be released as singles in the course of 2023. The second album “Every Day Is A Song” will be released in autumn. What ties the work together is the uniqueness of each individual day – sometimes easy, sometimes difficult, sometimes euphoric, sometimes thoughtful. For the second half of the year, the band plans to go on tour with the new songs.
