Born Silvan Salzmann in 1978, Sil van Ried took to music at a young age. In lieu of a traditional music education, he taught himself how to make electronic music, relying on his instincts and adventurous sense of melody to create his own sound. His talents soon made him a mainstay on his country’s electronic music scene, as he graduated from small clubs to huge national festivals.
Eventually, music would take a backseat for Silvan as he stopped performing and focused on raising his daughter. And while being a father brought him infinite joy, music was never far from his mind. He continued to create melodies and rhythms during his rare idle hours. These sounds would soon become the foundation of his artistic rebirth.
Heute widmet sich Silvan wieder verstärkt seiner musikalischen Leidenschaft und kreiert ausgedehnte Werke, die sowohl neue als auch alte Fans der elektronischen Musik ansprechen.
