Orlando SKRYLLS - a musical Alchemist,
is a Singer and Guitarist from Bern, Switzerland.
With "Songs About Life and Death", Orlando Skrylls presents a solo debut that is uncompromisingly personal and musically rooted in gothic, doom metal, and alternative influences. The singer and guitarist has created a varied, atmospherically dense work — melancholic, melodic, raw, and shaped by a strong sense of dynamics between heaviness and fragility. His unmistak-able voice radiates raw authenticity and leaves a lasting impression.
The influences are clear: Paradise Lost, Life of Agony, Type O Negative, Alice in Chains — yet Skrylls forges his own path. Dark riffs meet groove, mid-tempo stompers meet fragile moments, raw, distinc-tive vocals meet poetic depth.
An album that resonates on first listen and touches with its unfiltered honesty. Perfect for listeners who crave substance and attitude in their music.
SKRYLLS is no attempt to follow trends – it's a musical self-revelation.
Orlando started his music career 20 years ago with his former band Draven. Draven had TV Interviews, several gigs (with HIM back in 1998) and they did an album mixed by Bruno Kramm from DAS ICH, Germany. In his later band, Diabolic Divine, he couldn’t find satisfaction so he decided to start his own project: SKRYLLS.
2017 the EP cold/low was released, in June 2025 Orlando Skrylls released his first solo Album "Songs About Life and Death“
