Sogni Estivi Infranti Permanenti (S.E.I.P.) were born on 19 January 2023 from a conversational intuition of Federico Sicilia and Simone Romeo, musicians and producers. It was the wording of the concept, which became the project's name, that sparked their creativity and gave substance to their desire to make music together.
Armed with sadness, melancholy and irony, S.E.I.P. explore the sounds of the last decades of the 20th century from a current perspective, also drawing on the resurgence of contemporary Italian indie singing.
Pervaded by a sense of existential, social and relational precariousness - typical of a contemporaneity with a threatening future - S.E.I.P. write to sublimate the nostalgia for the unrealised, condensed into a non-existent as much as desired ataraxy symbolised by a peaceful summer evening on the shores of the Mediterranean.
Blu Tramonto is their first self-produced single, featuring the warm tones of Alice Petronici on vocals and the sinuous vocal harmonies of Rachel Dauchy.
The constituent uncertainty of Sogni Estivi Infranti Permanenti does not allow thoughts of an album, but several singles are in the pipeline for 2025.
