Angelo Ticli is an Italian-Swiss singer-songwriter, rock vocalist, and guitarist born in Lausanne, with a deep connection to his Sicilian roots. Drawing inspiration from the raw power of hard rock and the emotional depth of Italian melody, he creates music that is authentic, high-energy, and deeply human.
His songs explore freedom, resilience, faith, rebirth, and second chances. For Angelo, every song needs to tell a true story and deliver a real emotion no masks, no gimmicks.
Throughout his musical journey, Angelo has had the honor of working and sharing the stage and studio with acclaimed musicians from both the Italian and international music scenes.
Among them is Giuseppe Scarpato, Edoardo Bennato’s longtime lead guitarist, arranger, and producer, as well as Antonello D’Urso, a guitarist, arranger, and programmer who has worked with Vasco Rossi, Luca Carboni, Franco Battiato, Alice, and Angelo Branduardi.
Angelo also collaborates with guitarist Angela Massafra, a conservatory-trained musician, educator, and founder of the Quitorigo Music Academy.
On bass, Angelo has worked with Pierluigi Mingotti, who has performed with Francesco Guccini, Loredana Bertè, Il Volo, Eugenio Finardi, Gianni Morandi, and Mario Biondi; Andrea Torresani, Vasco Rossi’s bassist and a collaborator of Franco Battiato, Biagio Antonacci, Ermal Meta, and Gianluca Grignani; and Daniele “Barny” Bagni, the longtime bassist for Litfiba and a former member of Ladri di Biciclette.
On drums, Angelo works with Ivano Zanotti, a musician who has performed with Ligabue, Loredana Bertè, Anna Oxa, and Alan Sorrenti. Ivano also served as musical director for Loredana Bertè’s tours.
Angelo’s musical world is further elevated by Emanuel Ciancia, also known as “Mister Hollywood,” a professional saxophonist with an instantly recognizable musical identity, rare virtuosity, and an extraordinary ability to make every note hit straight to the heart.
On keyboards, Giuseppe De Marco holds a very special place in Angelo’s life and musical journey. Friends since childhood, they share a personal and musical bond built over decades. They have been making music together for nearly thirty years, moving through the different chapters of life without ever losing the joy of reconnecting through the passion they share.
Maria Covello also performs alongside Angelo on piano and background vocals. Her presence brings an intimate, sensitive, and deeply emotional dimension to his songs.
For the recording of “Cuore di Fuoco,” Angelo collaborated with Fabrizio “Simoncia” Simoncioni at DPoT Recording Arts in Prato. A recording engineer, producer, musician, keyboardist, and background vocalist, Fabrizio Simoncioni is a true force in Italian rock. Over the course of a career spanning more than thirty years, he has worked with Litfiba, Ligabue, Negrita, Gianna Nannini, Niccolò Fabi, Edoardo Bennato, and many other Italian and international artists.
His career achievements include more than 57 platinum records, numerous gold records, and a Latin Grammy Award nomination. Fabrizio Simoncioni has also toured with Litfiba and Ligabue as a keyboardist and background vocalist. His command of analog sound, extensive experience, and deep-rooted rock sensibility played an essential role in shaping the sonic identity of “Cuore di Fuoco.”
During the same project, Angelo also collaborated with recording engineer Matteo “Zola” Niccolai. Active at Paraphernalia Studio and within the DPoT Recording Arts world, he has contributed to productions connected with Litfiba, Ghigo Renzulli, Edoardo Bennato, Diaframma, and Il Pan del Diavolo. His ear, precision, and deep understanding of rock production helped give the project its full power and impact.
Additional recording sessions took place at Studios du Régent in Crans-Montana under the direction of Serge Fernex, a recording engineer with an international career spanning several decades. Throughout his career, he has had the opportunity to work alongside Phil Collins and legendary British musician and producer Trevor Horn, one of the great architects of international pop and rock sound. His experience also includes productions associated with Hugues Aufray and Nicolas Peyrac.
Serge Fernex founded Ella Recording Studio and has also played an active role in the development of the new Studios du Régent. Known for his command of analog recording and his uncompromising approach to sound, his goal is always to capture something alive, powerful, and true to each artist’s identity.
The vocal recording, mixing, and mastering of Angelo’s latest productions were completed at Ivorytears Music Works in Somma Lombardo, in the province of Varese, under the direction of Alessandro Del Vecchio. An internationally acclaimed musician, vocalist, and producer, Alessandro has worked with Hardline, Jorn, Revolution Saints, Jeff Scott Soto, Johnny Gioeli, and many other major names in the hard rock world.
To Angelo, Alessandro is far more than an exceptional professional. He is a genuine and generous person with an extraordinary level of human and musical sensitivity. Angelo feels truly blessed and grateful that God brought their paths together.
Angelo sees every collaboration as a human connection first and a musical partnership second. He is grateful to life—and above all, to God—for placing all these artists along his path. To him, a song is never born from the talent of just one person. It comes to life when different hearts, personalities, and creative voices move together in the same direction.
His song “Cuore di Fuoco,” a full-throttle anthem of freedom and rock ’n’ roll spirit, held the number-one spot on the MEI/TopSound chart for two consecutive weeks. Angelo does not consider this a personal victory, but a shared achievement belonging to the entire team that brought the project to life.
With songs such as “Cuore di Fuoco,” “Solo l’Amore Vincerà,” and “She’s My Fire,” Angelo Ticli continues to follow a path where the power of rock meets melody, emotion, and truth.
For Angelo, music is more than a passion. It is a way of life a way to rise again, keep moving forward, and never stop believing in your dreams.
