loating Notes Festival was born in the mountains of Canton Grisons as an act of cultural resistance and independent artistic research. Founded by Swiss harpist Kety Fusco, the festival has established itself as a place where experimental music, nature and community intertwine, transforming listening into a shared experience. Over the years, it has hosted internationally renowned artists such as Lubomyr Melnyk, Mary Lattimore, Mike Cooper, Julian Sartorius, Daniela Pes and other leading voices of the contemporary scene, building an artistic network recognised for its quality and vision.
From 2026, the festival moves to the Teatro Sociale in Bellinzona and opens a new chapter in its history: Floating Notes becomes a curatorial and production collective composed of Kety Fusco, Ticinese musician Davide Botta, film director Michele Pennetta, Denis Longhi (director of Jazz:Re:Found Festival) and Alberto Zen of Zen Production, organiser of large-scale events in Piazza San Marco and at Teatro La Fenice in Venice. This evolution expands the festival’s expertise, perspectives and creative capacity, establishing a more structured dialogue with the territory and its institutions.
The 2026 edition continues the festival’s vocation as a journey through new forms of experimental music. For three days, the Teatro Sociale becomes an immersive environment where performances, audiovisual live sets, installations and moments of exchange follow and influence one another. International and emerging artists come together to explore the most innovative languages of the contemporary scene, creating connections between sound, technology and artistic vision.
Floating Notes is not just an event, but a creative ecosystem: a living laboratory where music, place and community meet to generate connection, awareness and new forms of collective experience.
