Steve Butabi is a Swiss electronic music producer whose sound moves between progressive psytrance and psy techno, combining driving rhythms, hypnotic grooves and a distinctive creative spirit.
Growing up in the mountains of Graubünden, Switzerland, he developed an early passion for art, music and film. During his teenage years, he founded a band, marking the beginning of his musical journey. After the band eventually went its separate ways, he discovered electronic music and began exploring new sonic worlds, gradually developing his own musical identity.
Beyond music, Steve Butabi has pursued a wide range of creative projects under his real name, Stefan Koller. As a filmmaker, director and actor, he brought various film projects to life, some of which can be discovered on his YouTube channel, KollerFilms. Together with his longtime collaborators Markus Pöhl and Flurin Margadant, he also created EdgeheadTV, an independent creative project that reflects their shared passion for unconventional ideas and storytelling.
Painting is another important part of his artistic expression. His work across music, film and visual art gives him a multidisciplinary perspective that carries through into his productions. Rather than limiting himself to a single creative approach, he draws inspiration from different art forms, experimenting with sound, atmosphere, rhythm and emotion.
For Steve Butabi, music is more than a genre or a dancefloor experience. It is another medium through which he can express ideas, explore new directions and create worlds of his own.
