Biographie

SVND is a band originally formed by two naturally talented Mexican brother and sister. They decide to follow the example of their mother, Blanca Balderas, who is a great singer, and decide to start with the project. For years they played individually and with other bands, but it is until 2009 when they realize that they can manage to make a project by themselves. Playing both their guitars and occasionally other instruments, they bring a really attractive set.
With their first EP they look to show their good taste and scenic talent. Here they take the risk of playing not only guitar, but bass guitar, piano and some other instruments. They result is a really complete material where they show who they really are musically speaking.
Since 2014, they start working with an excellent Swiss musician, Jazz bachelor and Composition and Arrangement master’s degree, Benoît Gisler. This project comes to shape really quickly and in a couple of sessions they accomplish a new concept taking some important points from their previous work as a duo. This new dynamic, which was culminated in the distance, results in a European tour in summer 2015 with which they try to make themselves heard beyond the original members’ country of origin, Mexico.
