In 1998 Pascal (voice), Michel (guitar) and Jonny (guitar) formed the band in Lausanne. The release of their first rock album Dignity made them band of the month in Frequence Laser music stores in august 2001. Following a series of live music shows, SMB proved to be one of Lausannes most entertaining and hottest music bands around, packing clubs.
With the departure of Damien The Drummer (who joined French-poppy band Tafta), SMB started to go deeper into the music and experimented various styles of music like jazz, electronic and industrial rock using Julien The Sample and Keyboard guy. That was around 2002-2003. They pressed a hundred copies of the result of these experimental trips recorded at Studio A1 in Lausanne.
Very soon after, Julien left the band to go to France and left Pascal, Michel and Jonny with no drum sounds, no sampled sounds and no bass! SMB only did 2 live public shows with this material.
In the meantime, Pascal and Michel did acoustic shows as T-for Texas, doing mostly Johhny Cash and Hank Williams covers.
While Michel was singing dirty blues and country songs in the streets of Berlin, Pascal went to Los Angeles for a few months in the summer of 2004 to visit and write songs with friend and partner Tracy Lee Skull Garcia, guitar player for The Undertakers, and Lydia Lunch and the Anubian Lights.
Beginning of 2006 Pascal Johnny and Michel found post-rock oriented Gaetan on the drums and rock oriented Patrick on the bass to work on new material.
What you are listening to right now is the product of this new line-up. Live in the studio. Which is to say straight to the point take no excuses edgy and raw rocknroll!
