Born in Thailand in 2006 to a Swiss father and a Thai mother, Sylvan started out on the piano with a small synth barely 3 octaves long. His parents saw potential in him and decided to send him to private lessons. After two years, his teacher advised him to enter the conservatory. It was while playing with his father and accompanying his fellow students in the choir that he realized that music was for him. Having developed no taste for classical music, he put all his energy into playing what his hands felt like, playing what he heard and what he liked, which sharpened his ear. He taught himself guitar, bass, drums and other instruments. Influenced by the masters of English and French rock and pop, his lyrics are about what he feels and experiences.
