Sylvia Polaris is a multidimensional artist who spent many years working behind the scenes — ghostwriting and producing for other musicians — before stepping into the spotlight to share her own creations. Her music is a reflection of eclectic and evolving inspirations: from pop, dark ambient, techno, classical, Chinese folk, shoegaze, vaporwave, eccojams, mandopop, R&B, EDM, hybrid trap, hip-hop, ambient, new age, phonk, chillout and lounge. She now also shares her entire catalog of C-pop, dream pop, and shoegaze albums featuring Chinese lyrics here, following rejections related to the language on other platforms; she also left Spotify for personal reasons.
Over the past few years, she has already created several albums — which explains the rich wave of releases appearing this year. Each track carries a distinct emotional signature shaped by her lifelong connection to sound, memory, and the unknown.
Sylvia collaborates with two exceptional Chinese tenors, Tian Zhang and Liang Lin, whose ethereal voices add depth and soul to her musical world.
Sylvia Polaris Beijixing is the trio name for Sylvia, Tian Zhang, and Liang Lin — merging East, West, and something beyond — an harmony born of distant roots and shared resonance.
