With their new single «Mira» and its powerful video, Šuma Čovjek are bringing with them a strong message. "Mira" is a political song, peppered with joie de vivre and dancing rhythms, which takes you on a roller coaster ride of the world of languages. The song represents a mindset and values that are important to the Swiss-Bosnian-Algerian combo in everyday life: openness and respect.
Depending on the language and context, “Mira” can stand for different things. In the Serbo-Croatian language context “mir” means peace. We seek this peace within ourselves and with others. In the Spanish-speaking world, "mira" means look. We want to stand for a society that does not close its eyes to what's going on around it. Lastly, “Mira” is a woman's name, dedicated to all anonymous women who are currently on the run. You are a majority. What does your "Mira" stand for?TRANSLATION OF THE LYRICS:
My dears, you might have understood
My dears, that sweet taste
A song of welcome,
A song of life and loveMy dears, you might have heard
My dears, why don't you sing along?
A song of welcome,
A song of life and loveHey ho, peace to you
Hey ho, be welcomeI'm tired of this life, I'm always trying
to escape misfortune
it reels me in and overtakes me
Where are the crazy people who greet a stranger?
And sing "welcome"?People are watching me
Each of them a guard
Oh, have a little courtesy
I am still human, I still feelThe ice is melting
We are all threatened with extinction
But we are constantly awaiting war
Because it is easier to be killed by human handsAnglo - Algorithms rule the world
We play the game of nations
Or we call once again to gods
When someone dares to attack usMy dears, you might have understood
Freedom comes from peaceA song of welcome
And in peace, reading of the soul emergesMy dears, you might have heard
Shalom brothers! A greeting of peace! The song of welcome
Shalom sisters! Of love and peace! - Year of creation 2019
