CHARLYN reached a major turning point in her life. She found herself up against the wall, having devoted her time to taking care of others (relationships, friends, family) and forgetting herself completely. She decided it was time to take charge of her own life, think about herself, and regain her self–esteem.
While in quarantine due to the Covid pandemic and recovering from an operation, CHARLYN wrote ‘Start With Me‘, which became the title of her next EP. The accompanying music video is a nostalgic look back at CHARLYN‘s childhood, featuring shots of her talking to herself as a younger person and old VHS footage. She reflects on how when you‘re a kid, you‘re more selfish – something she needs to get back in order to move forward.
