Bibomusic Loves Merengue Vol.1 Interview with Al Gabriel, Bibomusic.
With this new compilation, Bibomusic celebrates Merengue, brilliant, harmonious and danceable music, originally from the Dominican Republic and soon spread throughout the Caribbean. “As Bibomusic we have always loved and believed in merengue - says Al Gabriel, founder and editorial director of Bibomusic - so much so that the first, historic, Bibomusic album, El Governao (2001) was made in Santo Domingo and Santiago de Los Caballeros, and contains four merengue of which three of typical merengue, with the participation of Giovanny Belliard, Memín El Sucesor, a great bachata and merengue musician who died prematurely, to whom Bibomusic and Al Gabriel wanted to dedicate this compilation. The genre of merengue - continues Al Gabriel - is expressed in various musical and orchestral forms, there is that of orchestra, that "de calle", the merengue mambo and the typical merengue, and others, and this variety is also found in the texts: the merengue allows maximum freedom of expression, with texts that can be romantic, spiritual, cheerful, ironic, as well as related to the actuality of everyday life, and social problems. Few musical genres offer this expressive possibility. In Bibomusic Loves Merengue vol.1 we wanted to give voice to the diversity and richness of expression of merengue, and I think the result is very positive, also because, without mentioning all the artists here, I remember that among the music producers of our songs there are musical directors of the highest level, such as Moises Sanchez, Deivit Landestoy and Renato Febles. I had the honor of meeting and becoming friends with Giovanny Belliard, Memín, one of the best guitarists of the typical merengue, concludes Al Gabriel, known on the occasion of his European concerts, a spectacular live artist, whose performances made me appreciate even more this music and the emotions it manages to generate in the public, for this reason Bibomusic Loves Merengue Vol.1 is dedicated to the unforgettable Memín”.

Bibomusic Loves Merengue Vol.1 Dedicado a Memín.
Con questa nuova compilation, Bibomusic celebra il Merengue, musica brillante, armoniosa e da ballare, originaria della Repubblica Dominicana e presto diffusasi in tutto il Caribe.
“Come Bibomusic abbiamo sempre amato e creduto nel merengue – afferma Al Gabriel, fondatore e direttore editoriale di Bibomusic - tanto che il primo album di Bibomusic, El Governao’ (2001) è stato realizzato proprio a Santo Domingo ed a Santiago de Los Caballeros, e contiene quattro merengue di cui tre di merengue tipico, con la partecipazione di Giovanny Belliard, Memín El Sucesor, grande musicista di bachata e merengue prematuramente scomparso, al quale Bibomusic e Al Gabriel hanno voluto dedicare questa compilation.
Il genere del merengue – continua Al Gabriel - si esprime in varie forme musicali ed orchestrali, c’è quello d’orchestra, quello “de calle”, il merengue mambo ed il merengue tipico, ed altri ancora, e questa varietà si ritrova anche nei testi: il merengue consente la massima libertà d’espressione, con testi che possono essere romantici, spirituali, allegri, ironici, come anche legati alla attualità della vita quotidiana, ed a problemi sociali. Pochi generi musicali offrono questa possibilità espressiva.
In Bibomusic Loves Merengue vol.1 abbiamo voluto dare voce alla diversità ed alla ricchezza di espressione del merengue, e credo che il risultato sia molto positivo, anche perché, senza qui menzionare tutti gli artisti, ricordo che tra i produttori musicali delle nostre canzoni vi sono direttori musicali di altissimo livello, come Moises Sanchez, Deivit Landestoy e Renato Febles.
Ho avuto l’onore di conoscere e di divenire amico di Giovanny Belliard, Memín, uno dei migliori chitarristi del merengue tipico, conclude Al Gabriel, conosciuto in occasione dei suoi concerti europei, un artista spettacolare dal vivo, le cui performances mi hanno fatto apprezzare ancora di più questa musica e le emozioni che riesce a generare nel pubblico, per questa ragione Bibomusic Loves Merengue Vol.1 è dedicato all’indimenticabile Memín”.

Con esta nueva compilación, Bibomusic celebra el merengue, música brillante, armoniosa y bailable, originaria de la República Dominicana y pronto extendida por todo el Caribe. “ Como Bibomusic siempre hemos amado y creído en el merengue - dice Al Gabriel, fundador y director editorial de Bibomusic - tanto es así que el primer álbum de Bibomusic, El Governao (2001) se hizo en Santo Domingo y Santiago de Los Caballeros, y contiene cuatro merengue de los cuales tres de merengue típico, con la participación de Giovanny Belliard, Memín El Sucesor, un gran músico de bachata y merengue fallecido prematuramente, a quien Bibomusic y Al Gabriel quisieron dedicar este recopilatorio. El género del merengue - continúa Al Gabriel - se expresa en diversas formas musicales y orquestales, está el de orquesta, el "de calle", el merengue mambo y el merengue típico, y otros más, y esta variedad también se encuentra en los textos: el merengue permite la máxima libertad de expresión, con textos que pueden ser románticos, espirituales, alegres, irónicos, así como relacionados con la actualidad de la vida cotidiana, y problemas sociales. Pocos géneros musicales ofrecen esta posibilidad expresiva. En Bibomusic Loves Merengue vol.1 hemos querido dar voz a la diversidad y riqueza de expresión del merengue, y creo que el resultado es muy positivo, también porque, sin mencionar a todos los artistas aquí, recuerdo que entre los productores musicales de nuestras canciones hay directores musicales del más alto nivel, como Moisés Sánchez, Deivit Landestoy y Renato Febles. Tuve el honor de conocer y hacer amistad con Giovanny Belliard, Memín, uno de los mejores guitarristas del merengue típico - concluye Al Gabriel - conocido con motivo de sus conciertos europeos, un espectacular artista en vivo, cuyas actuaciones me hicieron apreciar aún más esta música y las emociones que logra generar en el público, por esta razón Bibomusic Loves Merengue Vol.1 está dedicado a el inolvidable Memín”.
