The Loyal Father - a 'dark fairytale dressed in a light and almost ironic melody, the single balances its bright acoustic guitar/vocal led composition, with a bleaker story in which a king's bloody enforcer is forced to weigh his allegiance to the crown against his loyalty to his daughter who has slapped the prince.
The single's video was directed by Swiss based Julian M. Grünthal, who also wrote the lyrics for the song. Filmed against a breathtaking Swiss lake in the winter and summer, the video follows a heartbroken father and the tumultuous relationship he has with his daughter, as the Israeli Singer-Songwriter Anat Porat sings as though to narrate their story.
