The instrumental idea to «How Have You Been?» had been with me for over a decade and last summer I finally found a vocal-melody to go with, that I was inspired by. Then, some night, I couldn’t sleep and was hunted by flashbacks of a weird encounter with an old friend, and so i laid down the basic idea for the lyrics. Soon afterwards my pals Tobi and Flo and i set up in our one-room-studio and recorded drums, bass-synth & guitar at the same time. Later on we added acoustic piano and ended up using the pilot-vocals. voila, a song that i’m very fond of. I hope you enjoy it.
