DJ Ritu is an important artist and (radio) DJ in and for the South Asian music communities in the UK. For many years, she and her community have fought for equal opportunities and against racism, discrimination, and othering within the music industry. Looking back at her long career, Ritu thinks that she achieved a lot but that there are glass ceilings that were and are too strong. The skit was taken from a long interview with Ritu conducted by Thomas Burkhalter in 2019. Burkhalter has been in contact with Ritu since 2000. She is featured in his documentary Buy More Incense: British–Asian Artists in the UK (Thomas Burkhalter and Michael Spahr).
