The origin of this song goes back to lockdown era, when we had plenty of time to jam.
I messed around with my new freaky guitar effect pedal called "Lo-Fi Junky". Cornel came up with the disco beat and then this hypnotic guitar riff came to life. We quickly recorded a demo version of the song.
Then, one night I was awakaned by a annoying mosquito. After killing it, I couldn't fall asleep and in my head, the jam spinned round and round. So I took paper and pen and wrote the lyrics down with the title "Mosquito Dance". I passed the demo recording and lyrics on to our singer Belinda Villforth. Her voice and style fitted perfectly to the song. We recorded it live to tape and overdubbed some analog synthesizers and reverse guitars after, made this song to something very special.
We filmed ourselv in front of a green screen and handed the stuff over to Brad Naugle to create a music video. He did a fantastic job, capturing the nightmare of a mosquito bite perfectly.
