In 2007 Manuel Engel has received a commission to create a Christmas album.
Thereafter Engel produced his first piano solo album – Christmas Notes and its arrangements are influenced by Steve Reich, Keith Jarrett, Radiohead, Alexander Scriabin, Paul Bley, Dimitry Shostakovich, John Cage and Stereolab. Special thanks to Santa Claus!
