This intimate arrangement, stripped down to just piano and voice, emphasizes the raw vulnerability expressed by Samora in “Bruises.” The song stands asa symbol of the suffering, pain, and wounds that women often endure, giving their stories a powerful voice. It transforms into both an indictment and an anthem against the injustices faced by society’s most vulnerable.
