“Strap in. The Yelins are back with God Speed. A neon-drenched missile of a track that sounds like 1983 reimagined in high-definition.”
After the razor-sharp Pinger Duster, the Swiss indie band dives straight into a machine-tight undercurrent. Think polished alloy, red horizons, and engines humming at the edge of control. “I wanted to follow my instincts more than ever on this one, to go where I’ve always felt I somehow never allowed myself to go,” says frontman Laurentz Lozano, who, as always, took on production duties, making God Speed another prime example of the band’s signature in- house approach. It doesn’t ask for permission. Instead, it charges through a digital nightscape with the kind of precision only a pure analog heart can deliver.
Like a forgotten soundtrack to a sci-fi cult classic, it’s tight, brushed, and unapologetically synthetic. With momentum, style, and the quiet confidence of a band that knows exactly where it’s headed, God Speed is a signal flare from another dimension. You either catch it, or you get left behind. - Year of creation 2025
