My sturdy harness clamps me down
The brazen voice counts down from 10
a last deep breath .. I hold it dear,
vibrations start to shake my frame

The racking noise hammers my ears
I lift my eyes .. and taste my fear
a giant gauntlet stamps me down
Stages separate in flames
I’m pushed out of the atmosphere
gravity has lost its clout

My capsule’s pulled toward the earth
Re-entry wraps me tight in flames
Hell beyond the patch of glass
