One day I decided to design my own bass. Inspired by a Status MKII, an Alembic Stanley Clarke model, a Warwick Thumb Bass and a Jay Dee Supernatural this unique custom model was born by the craftsmanship and great help of Peter Scott - luthier with English roots and residence in Switzerland:

Specs:

- Built in 2012
- Body: swamp ash with a cocobolo top and back cover
- Neck: 24 frets (longscale), maple with 3 wenge stripes and satin finish, ebony fingerboard, set neck
- String spacing: 16mm
- PUs: 2 special custom soap bars from Scottbassguitars, individually selectable as single coils and/or humbuckers
- Active electronic only (no passive mode), on board preamp (9V) and LEDs by luthier Peter Scott
- Strings: Ken Smith Slap Masters 35 - 105

- Photos by Dave Giordano (except where mentioned)

- Audio interface (bass direct in): iTrack solo to iPad4

- Rough recordings in Garage Band (bass, drums, percussion) with an individual reverb effect on all tracks / processing via „mastering“ app for your listening pleasure without changing the tonal characteristic of the bass guitar

- Musical ideas taken by the instrumental „Little Butterfly“ of my old project called PLANET BASSOOPIA (copyright 2003)
