The true conspiracy lies in harmony - On October 16, 2026, the genuine version of “Soussol Souvenir” has been released: the Original Mix by PLEKTRON. Almost exactly one year after the Radio Edit (October 17, 2025) and following the “Miss Your Body – VieuxMerlin Remix” (May 1, 2026), this version takes us back to where the track truly began - in an atmospheric session where creative collaboration, improvisation, and the French Touch came together.
The Original Mix isn’t just longer; it’s told differently. Michaela Weber’s spoken French text, which didn’t appear until later in the Radio Edit, now opens the track. Her words hang in the air even before the first beat, like a soft whisper in a dark hallway, before the music draws the listener into its world. The chorus, which previously came right at the beginning, appears here only after the first verse—like a memory that unfolds slowly rather than taking hold immediately.
Marcel Roethlisberger’s saxophone solo can be heard in its full, original length. It breathes, expands, and tells its own story within the track. In the generously extended outro, it becomes even clearer just how much musical skill went into the recording sessions. You can hear the singers begin to improvise, inspiring one another. These moments make the Original Mix a true document of the creative process - authentic, organic, intimate.
PLEKTRON, a.k.a. Matthias Bendicht Dellsperger, is responsible for the overall concept, composition, lyrics, and arrangement. Together with Michaela Weber, whose bright, soulful voice and linguistic precision give the track its characteristic French touch; Marcel Roethlisberger, whose melodic sensibility lends the piece its unique melody; and producer Luk Walther, who is responsible for the mix, sound effects, and mastering, they have created a work that oscillates between deep, emotional memories and danceable energy.
The original 9-minute version, from which everything emerged, lives on in the planned extended instrumental mix, while additional remixes - including ones by Chris Dubflow and possibly ttmc - will later be compiled into an EP. But the Original Mix remains the centerpiece: the version that stays closest to the initial vision and to the feeling of writing a soundtrack for a moment whose significance you only realize in hindsight.
“Soussol Souvenir – Original Mix” is more than just the unaltered version. It is a poetic repository of memories, a clandestine celebration in multiple languages, a stroll through dark corridors in search of the light. And in the end, there is the simple yet crucial realization: the true conspiracy lies in harmony.
