Reopening of the private drum school „Schlagzeug plus Puls“ in Zurich.
Pedagogical studies at HMT Zurich (Academy for Music and Theater) with degrees as musician and drum teacher.
Further development of more simple and tight rock rhythms and versatile jazz playing.
Music expert at the Swiss Society for the Rights of Authors of Musical Works SUISA in Zurich.
1993 – 2000
Bands, live and in studio: Black Heaven (Rock), Basic Needs (Fusion), Groove Ties (Funk), The Incredible Drums of Zurich (African Percussion), Die Tunten von Unten (Rock).
Diploma at Berklee College of Music in Boston/USA, with focus on performance, song writing and composition. Ensemble studies in Jazz, Latin, Fusion, Funk and Gospel styles. Private and class lessons with teachers John Ramsay, Rick Considine, Casey Scheuerell, Joe Hunt, and many more.
Professionalization of my own drum technique, fast and accurate sight reading and improvisation skills.
Comprehensive education at the Jazz School Lucerne. Participation in various drum and percussion workshops.
Foundation of a private drum school in Zurich and engagement as drum teacher at the Music School Weggis. Development of my own funk-pop drumming and percussion style.
1981 – 1992
Bands/projects: Best Rest (Rock), KV-Musical and several school bands.
March drum, piano and drum lessons in Zurich.
Further education and experience with South American and African percussion.
Education and degree in commercial business (1992) with Robert Aebi AG.
