The band’s roots are unknown to many. It is whispered in the woods that a door opened in 2010 and out of it came music. This was the birth of Bluestone.
Solid and indisputable is the new formation, which occurred at the end of 2012. The formation which to this day, holds strong.
The two founding members Sid Thatch (Manuel Schindler, voice), who with his voice commands mountains to move in his stead and Gordon (Lorenz Kappeler, guitar), bearing the weapon of his choice only to shred it to pieces to show his utter dominance upon the forces of physics, gathered three lost souls on their way, all of them experts of virtuosity and groove. Maurice (Moritz Dieffenbacher) now added the strength and mere endless possibilities of melodies embodied in the movement of his fingers across the keys and Küsä (Markus Koller) powered up the orchestra by using not only his two arms but both of his legs to drum out the most gut wrenching and vibration producing rhythms (un)imaginable to this day. Menzi (Clemens Lutz) was the last addition to this pentagon of fractals coming together. With his bass, he explores the depths way ahead to assure a safe passage, deep into the cavities of the mind and soul, a necessary risk which has to be taken.
In this year of 2018 the band debuts with their first professionally produced album titled “Deepest Night, Brightest Light”. It is a hymn to all human needs, a discovery of the true self, an elimination of the ego, a journey to the core, but also at times a jump in to the plains of the bright blue sky and a dance of energy. An album, created to be listened in circles. Enjoy ourselves!
