As the name indicates, the group takes it's musical inspiration from all of the influences found in Country Music, thus giving rise to a diverse palette.
The repertoire goes from traditional country music through to Blues, calling at the stations of RockaBilly, Rock'n'Roll, Country Rock and...other musical influences! Original compositions also are part of the repertoire.
Our new programme is dedicated to the legendary ROUTE 66, the "Mother Road", which is celebrating it's centenary (or 100th. anniversary) in this year of 2026, and is ideal for your special events with a road and biker theme.
The Country Expression offers a 'country sound' plus country rock, that also includes a nod to the Sixties by featuring a 12-string guitar ( thinks of the “The Byrds”!).
The group founder, Terry Nelson, is British and was active in the London musical scene with groups such as "The Alley Cats", "The Konrads" (with the future David Bowie on saxophone and vocals), "Chris Travers & the Phantoms", “The Sombreros/Vesta’s Bards” and the original “The Country Expression” (the current version of the band carries on the musical tradition of the original).
