Biography
five humans, five souls, five hearts — one band, one sound, one mood
One cold winter day early 2019, somewhere in a bar, singer Léon developed the wish to hold a guitar in his hands. He contacted guitarist Samuel to take lessons with him and after the second lesson they invited drummer Vik for a jam session. They never stopped playing together and The Mood was born. Time passed and synth player Amos as well as bassist Thierry joined to give the band the weight they were missing.
Five boys with a different musical background: One from classical music, another from pop, two from jazz and one had a little bit of everything.
This variety, which offers a breadth of inspiration, had to be made one — to merge the intricate sounds of every member and capture the essence of their tone. The Mood is a band from Basel that conveys vibrant images through expressive soundscapes to their audience. While the band‘s main genre is Progressive Pop/Rock, they take inspiration from all musical genres and allow themselves the freedom of shifting between genres in the name of musical expression.
What is the band looking for in every song? — For the mood. The mood has to be on point. So it’s only fitting for them to perform under that name.
