The UnPresentables (T.U.P.) is the creation of Dov (D. Medwed), with help from Jacobee. The band is active in the Zurich area of Switzerland, and we plan to take the world by storm. With the exception of Dov, all band members hail from the Zurich area and all are excellent. As for Dov, he hails from the Motor City (Detroit), growing up at the Grande Ballroom, Eastown and even the ancient Northland Mump (original venue for Amboy Dukes), listening to MC5, The Psychedelic Stooges, Alice Cooper, Mitch Ryder, Seeger, Funkadelic, Motown (of course) as well as listening to all the blues folk coming through (such as Junior wells and Buddy Guy) at The Chessmate, and all the good jazz coming through (such as Pharoah Sanders and Rahsan Roland Kirk) the Ibo Cultural Lounge. Although around music all his life, this is Dov’s first musical effort. Dov has been living in Switzerland for about 10 years, where he met up with the band members and finally formed T.U.P. At 53, Dov has at least as much energy as the other five members of The UnPresentables – who are all at least 20 years younger. With a rock/blues base, the band combines old and new styles into a unique sound that can only be T.U.P. It won’t be too long before we will be known as ‘THE BEST BAND EVER TO COME OUT OF SWITZERLAND’ (or continental Europe for that matter).
