Band Biography:
The rock band The Wolves Cave was founded in autumn 2021, initially without a name, in their old rehearsal room in Uetendorf. The musical direction was open at first, as all members brought different stylistic backgrounds and instruments: Domi moves between classical music and rock ballads, Märsu prefers distorted, louder sounds, and Steffi brings influences from the singer-songwriter scene. Through a continuous creative process, the band listened to a lot of music, experimented with various styles, and developed their own sound. In October 2023, The Wolves Cave released their first single “Snakes,” followed by “Young” in January 2024. Both songs were produced together with regional producer Yvo Brönnimann at Influx Studio Bern. The singles achieved pleasing streaming numbers between 4,000 and 5,000 plays and were broadcast by Radio Redline, Couleur 3, and regional station Radio BeO. The support from Radio BeO, including an interview with the band’s frontwoman Steffi, was a valuable starting boost. This was followed by concerts at the Openmic in Mahogany Hall Bern and at the “There Are Worse Bands Festival” in Lucerne. With their debut EP “Now or Never,” the band aims to build on this success—both as a further development and as a contribution to the regional music scene. Their songs tell stories about staying true to oneself, coping with everyday life, love relationships, and generational change. They also explore role reversals and the question of how old and new can be connected—or when a woman asks a man out on a date. The EP title “Now or Never” is both a reference to the stories told in the songs and to the band’s ongoing musical journey and future direction.
Goals / Extended Biography:
The Wolves Cave wants to build on their previous successes and consistently expand them: increasing streaming numbers, playing more concerts beyond the canton’s borders, and establishing themselves more firmly in the Swiss music scene in the long term. The world always needs new music—otherwise, it would be rather quiet. The band’s music invites listeners to immerse themselves in stories and escape for a moment from the loud and fast-paced world. Some may even recognize themselves in these stories and find a personal connection. With their style, storytelling, and rock influences from past and present, The Wolves Cave seeks to reach and unite listeners of all ages. Their mission is clear: to touch people with honest, handmade music and to make a cultural impact—with passion and dedication, turning their artistic drive into a sustainable project that emphasizes regional collaboration, creative independence, and the desire to share music with as many people as possible.
