Biography
The Woodgies - two young sisters with Irish and English heritage, based in Switzerland, are quickly becoming a highly regarded duo in the Swiss pop folk music scene. Sisters Hannah Leah and Meghan began writing music together at a young age, finding solace in the melodies and harmonies of their songs.
Their debut album “Holding Hands” was released in 2021 with Escudero Records, and the sisters were shortly after named “Swiss Rising Talent” by the Montreux Jazz Festival.
The Woodgies’ songs have been played on radio stations throughout Switzerland crossing over the language barriers and their stories have been published in major newspapers such as the Blick, Le Temps and 20 Minutes. Social media followers have been steadily increasing, as the sisters’ unique vocal harmonies captivate listeners.
They have also taken their music abroad, playing in France, Italy, Ireland, Scotland and soon Germany.
The surprising success of their first album combined with the experience gained through concerts & collaborations and their passion for music has encouraged the sisters to record a new album which is ready to be released!
