In her years as an art student at ZHdK Vera Pfister loved to experiment with field recordings and audio art. Tigwid is her intuitive and playful approach towards pop music. Through slim arrangements Tigwid opens up space and offers room for silence. Her sound slowly unfolds, then grows multi-dimensional and lulls us into warm melancholy.
Tigwid wrote her self-produced, home-recorded single "Pendular Swings" on winter days, isolated in her apartment because of the pandemic. "During those days it was way too easy for my ghosts to gain the upper hand. This song is for everyone who struggles with dark and heavy emotions from time to time." The song lures us into emotional depths but awaits with a consoling embrace.
Tigwid is currently in the process of writing and producing a short album, which is planned to be released in 2024.
