Although often mistaken for a British fashion phenomenon, The Kate Effect are in fact a Swiss band. Their explosive mixture of melodic death and thrash metal with a little dash of hardcore firmly lodges in the 2000s nostalgia center of every brain, taking the listener on a journey from breakdown to blastbeat and finally lands on the expected climax with catchy choruses.
The Kate Effect are a guarantee for exuberant live shows and, with their combined 60 years of band experience, prove time and again why they have been an integral part of the Swiss metal and hardcore scene since 2011.
In its current line-up, The Kate Effect consists of founding members Lukas Villiger (vocals), Martin “März” Kubli (guitar), Marco “Rada” Radamonti (guitar, also in With One Word), Pascal Maurer (drums, also in Silent Circus) and Severin Bruttin (bass, PhD).
