I am a musician and artist based in Bern and Winterthur, Switzerland.
The leitmotif in most of my work is noise, both a sound aesthetic as well as a concept. I understand it not as something inherently negative or positive, but as a thing that is always there in our construction of reality. Noise can be found in the in-betweens, underneaths, all-arounds or deep-insides and also imprints itself on everything it affects.
Using non-destructive sonic DIY techniques such as no-input mixing, I focus on playful and non-linear approaches rather than the traditional notion of skill to explore these traces and the productive power of noise. I reject its reduction and try to steer clear of sonic moralism.
I am interested in coding, online culture, sound performances, installations and multimedia works. I studied fine arts in Zurich and am currently working on my artistic research PhD in Music in Bern and Freiburg, Germany.
