•Tschäggättä is a black metal project that was founded by the drummer Môr in 2007. The project has been growing up for many years in his mind. Depite called « black metal » the music of Tschäggättä is also influenced a lot by crust punk or tribal rythms.
In April 2009, Vaerminä appeared. Not only was his way of playing in full harmony with the Tschäggättä project, but also his ideology and spirituality. Thus Vaerminä joined the project. In April 2010, Vhlaad proposed his services and was accepted in the band which from now appears to be a trio with the exceptional presence of Gallium (one of the former member of Tschäggättä) for live performance and miscellaneous sessions.
•Our first source of inspiration is the pre-Christian tradition that we call in Switzerland the Roitschäggättä. It is the belief in a strong and uncontrollable nature, the opposition to dogmas and “civilized” curtails that human kind imposes itself and the respect of nature and ancient pagan traditions. However, the band expands this way of thinking to other and deeper topics, such as misanthropy, madness, spirituality or over-consumption. That's why it is important to note that the band Tschäggättä does not appropriate itself the whole tradition of the Roitschäggättä. The band is quite enamored of the landscapes and traditions of Switzerland. However, we are clearly opposed to all kinds of nationalism, Swiss or not. As Môr says: “We don't just hate Nazis, nationalists, Zionists or communists, we just hate the whole humanity, what’s inside it and what is created by it, including ourselves.
•Sounds files are available on our myspace, however it is good to precise that all our recorded tracks are self-produced, so « untidiy », as we are more focusing on playing lives than selling our music. This is part of our ideology that tries to give back to music its forgotten sacred and ritualistic function.
