Uchja is a Nigerian Swiss resident, a singer and songwriter. she comes from a Family of singers. She started singing as a teenager in the church choir and has helped in the recording of many gospels and Afro pop Albums. She was in girl performance group in Nigeria called “Sisters”.
As she immigrated to Switzerland, she continues to strive in her singing and songwriting.
Her influences reach from pop, afro beats, r&b, soul, gospel, and trap genre.
Her passion to write songs and make music, which is all about Movement, Culture, Respect, Inequality and herself.
She released her first EP album in 2019, on the genre pop / electropop , on the platform imusician. This she couldn’t work on so much, because of the pandemic.
she writes her lyrics and composes her beats, you can take her words or beats, better still her style, for she is doing herself. It took her a long while, but she is here to bring it all.
She is ever ready with this new album, songs filled with rhythm, soulful, energetic dance.
Her new release single “On Your Knees”, which is a mix of R&B / afro soul, Afros wing, the mood is emotional and it is danceable, from her upcoming Album.
It is about a journey which continues to flow.
