The progressive metal band Umber is a journey, at times violent and powerful, then contemplative and beautiful. The young and passionate musicians founded the project in 2020 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, Switzerland, and released their first instrumental album in November 2022, before being joined by their new singer.

After having met in high school, the three inhabitants of Chaux-de-Fonds, Colin, Léo and Alfio, formed a first band, Spark Inside, and started their stage career. The band dissolved after the departure of the three for music schools but the link and the musical complicity remained strong. They reunited around a new progressive metal project, inspired by bands such as Haken, Caligula's Horse. Jean-Noël joined the group and they recorded the first album, before Agustín completed the formation.
