Valerijana Krasniqi is a Swiss artist and songwriter who combines Soul with Folk, Jazz and classical elements.
Her music crosses genres and languages – from Swiss German and German to English and Albanian. At the heart of her work are lyrics with emotion, conviction and a clear message.
I write and develop my own songs from my soul. The ideas come from what I feel, observe and wish to share with people – from love, human connection, homeland, identity, values, inner strength and life itself.
I am the creative author of my works. The lyrics, their messages and the artistic concepts come from me. I also use support for linguistic refinement, but the content, meaning and creative decisions remain entirely in my hands.
My music knows no linguistic or cultural boundaries. I write in Swiss German, Albanian, German and English, allowing each song the freedom to find its own sound.
For the musical realization of my work, I use modern digital and AI-assisted tools. I direct the process myself: I decide on the instruments, voices, expression, structure, changes and when a song is complete.
For me, visual art and music are two forms of expression within the same artistic language. What I once expressed mainly through colours and images now also finds its way into words and music.
I do not compose according to a fixed formula. I listen, feel, transform and keep searching until the music expresses what I originally felt in my soul.
