After several English-language projects under the name Aquarius Rockwell, the Geneva-based artist launched his new French-language pop project, Verseau Bellepierre (a deliberately poor translation of his former avatar), in 2025. That same year, he was selected for the “Radar” program of Radio Télévision Suisse and released two albums, Vers d’Oreille and Vermeil. Singles from these records were featured in Spotify editorial playlists such as “Au calme”, “New Music Switzerland”, and “Dîner entre amis”, gathering thousands of streams.
Verseau Bellepierre is described by the national radio station SRF 3 as a singer with “carefully crafted productions”, “catchy melodies”, and a “pastel-toned voice”, who performs wearing oversized papier-mâché ears. Musically, Verseau follows in the footsteps of artists such as Bonnie Banane, Varnish La Piscine, and Swing.
Supported by L’Abri Genève, Verseau has been developing a live project and performs on stage with a five-piece band (bass, guitars, drums, and keyboards). The project has been programmed at festivals across French-speaking Switzerland, including Cully Jazz (VD) and Les Francomanias (FR).
In 2026, Verseau Bellepierre continues to refine his live performance through artistic residencies while simultaneously working on the collective pop mixtape Natel, scheduled for release at the end of the year, as well as his next album, due for release in 2027.
