Vivi Belini creates - in short - sad funky soul music with her band. The first EP “Time” - which coined the motto “existential crisis, but make it groovy” - is made of soulful vocals, hard truths and a hunger for creation, served on earthy drums, Blues-inspired Guitar and a concoction of Pop, Soul and Funk. The lyrics revolve around grief, the passing of time, identity and trauma, but never without a handful of hope. The music carries that message, but will always get to your feet, in spite - or because of - the meaning.
Vivi is originally from Berlin, moved to Rome at 18 and then (with many stopovers) moved to Switzerland over 10 years ago. Her music reflects the vagabond approach to life in the form of the unwillingness to conform to a certain genre or style - it is always kind of finding itself again in the process, yet stays true to herself.
The band consists of Sven on the guitar, Timothy on the drums and Stefan on the bass. Fittingly, all of them have different origin, both in nationality and their "native" genre.
