The story of WILDTASTE - the winning band of the Romanshorn Lake Festival Band Contest 2024, which combines handmade pop/rock with 90s vibes and a distinctive voice - began in 2022, when six ambitious musicians came together with an ambitious goal: to write a stage-ready repertoire of their own songs.
After an intensive build-up phase, the band recorded and released their first EP in the studio in the winter of 2023/24.
In July 2024, the band faced an unexpected challenge: they had to find a new singer at short notice in order to play three concerts that had already been booked - including a slot in the final of a regional band competition. Fortunately, a suitable voice was found in Dan Paulweber, who joined the band in record time. His debut at the Summer Night Festival in Romanshorn led to a successful performance and victory in the band contest.
Further appearances followed, including as a support act for blues rock star Marc Amacher. Since then the band has consisted of Urs Stocker (Keys), Yvonne Hertach-Schmid (Bass), Dan Paulweber (Voc.), Adi Schori (Guit.), Sébastien Boyaval (Drums) and Christian Westbrook (Guit.).
WILDTASTE is currently working on new recordings and the program for upcoming performances.
